Aaron V. Wallace is an associate attorney with the Gist Law Firm, PA who practices in the areas of labor and employment law, criminal law, and personal injury litigation. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Wallace clerked for the Honorable DeAndrea G. Benjamin, Circuit Court Judge for the Fifth Judicial Circuit.
Mr. Wallace is admitted to practice law in South Carolina and maintains an active membership with the South Carolina Bar.
Mr. Wallace earned his Juris Doctor in 2011 from the University Of South Carolina School Of Law. While in law school he was on the Dean’s List, served in the capacity of treasurer for the Black Law Students Association during both his 2L and 3L year, participated in the Judicial Observation and Experience program, and worked as a law clerk for a plaintiff’s law firm.
Mr. Wallace earned a Bachelor of Arts in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina in 2007. While in college he was an active member of the Association of African American Students (AAAS), the Brothers of Nubian Descent (BOND), and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Mr. Wallace is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the Columbia Lawyer’s Association, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. In addition to these memberships, Mr. Wallace has served as an assistant coach for both the little league basketball and baseball teams at Meadowlake Park in Columbia, SC., and is a current member of St. John Baptist Church in Columbia, SC where he serves the Boy Scout Program as a Scoutmaster. Additionally, he volunteers his time to teach both Sunday school and Children’s Church at St. John Baptist Church in Columbia, SC.
Mr. Wallace is married to Heather Plowden Wallace and has two children.
